Read this if you are having trouble with the stage! I was a little put down when the instruments weren't able to go on the stage, but then I found out if you hold the shift button while the little move tool is selected, you can adjust the objects hight. So I raised the drums, guitar, and mic up to the level of the stage, and now it looks like it's supposed to =] (If you hold the ctrl key while the move tool is selected, then you can move the item in horizontal directions, while it's still, er... connected, to the spot you placed it in orginally. The shift and ctrl keys also open up more options for the rotating tool, and enables you to "lock" furniture into place with the straighten tool).
