IMVU Wins 2008 Virtual Worlds Innovation Award
PALO ALTO, Calif., September 30, 2008 -- IMVU Inc. (nb.imvu.com), an online destination where adults and teens meet new people in 3D, was awarded the 2008 Virtual Worlds Innovation Award in the Consumer category. IMVU was among eight winners in five categories and winners received their awards in person at the Virtual Worlds Conference and Expo on September 3, 2008 at the Los Angeles, California convention center.
IMVU was informed that the decision to recognize the company was a result of its truly impressive successes in building not only a huge audience in a tough demographic, but also for its ability to build a strong developer community. Creating content in both 2D and 3D is recognized as a challenging task and the judges felt that the IMVU community showed tremendous commitment and talent.

2008 is the first year for the Virtual Worlds Innovation Awards. Categories included virtual worlds for: enterprise, consumer, youth, pioneer and overall innovation. The prestigious list of judges included:
